auto news desk, The demand for vehicles made in India is increasing rapidly. Due to this the companies are getting a big market. Due to this, the exports of the companies are increasing. According to data released by SIAM, passenger vehicles exports from the country are set to increase by 15 per cent to 6,62,891 units in 2022-23. Maruti Suzuki India has the largest share in this, which exports more than 2.5 lakh units. According to industry body Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), total passenger vehicle exports are expected to be 6,62,891 units in 2022-23, as against 5,77,875 units in 2021-22.

10 percent jump in car exports

According to the data, passenger car exports in the last financial year stood at 4,13,787 units, a growth of 10 per cent. While exports of utility vehicles increased by 23 percent to 2,47,493 units. Van exports, however, declined and stood at 1,611 units in 2022-23 as against 1,853 units in 2021-22. Maruti Suzuki India accounted for the largest share of exports in the passenger vehicle category in the last financial year. It was followed by Hyundai Motor India and Kia India. The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki exports 2,55,439 passenger vehicles in 2022-23, up eight per cent from 2,35,670 vehicles exported in 2020-21. Hyundai Motor India exported 1,53,019 vehicles in 2021-22 from 1,29,260 units, up 18 percent.

These companies also increased their stake

Kia India exports 85,756 vehicles in 2022-23 as against 50,864 units in 2021-22. Nissan Motor India shipped 60,637 vehicles, Renault India shipped 34,956 vehicles; Volkswagen India exported 27,137 units. Honda Cars exports 22,710 units while Mahindra & Mahindra exports 10,622 units in 2022-23. Total exports of vehicles from India in the last financial year stood at 47,61,487 units, down 15 per cent from 56,17,359 units in 2021-22.
