Earlier CNG kits were only available with entry level cars, but now companies have started offering this technology with more premium cars and SUVs as well. Two new CNG cars are going to be launched soon in the market. Maruti and Tata Motors are about to bring their new models in the market. The special thing is that the customers are eagerly waiting for both the cars.
Tata Altroz CNG
The bookings for Tata Altroz CNG have started recently which is expected to be launched soon. It was first shown at the Auto Expo in January 2023. It is expected to get features like electric sunroof, direct start in CNG mode, cruise control and twin-cylinder technology. The special thing is that twin cylinder technology has been given in it, under which two small cylinders have been used instead of one big cylinder. The price of Altroz CNG can be around Rs 1 lakh more than the petrol variant.
Maruti Suzuki Frox CNG
Maruti Suzuki Franks has been recently launched in the market. This is the crossover SUV of Maruti Suzuki, whose CNG version is also expected to come soon. The factory-fitted CNG kit will be offered only with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, and will be around Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the petrol variant. Maruti Suzuki Fronx will be sold through the company’s premium dealership network Nexa.
Tata Punch CNG
Tata Motors may also bring the punch micro SUV in CNG avatar after its Altroz. Twin cylinder technology will also be used in this. It will be given a 1.2 liter petrol engine.
