
auto news desk, Maruti Suzuki has launched its Fronx crossover in India. It was introduced at the Auto Expo 2023. It is based on the company’s Baleno hatchback and comes with two petrol engines. The first engine is a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol and the second a 1.0-litre ‘Boosterjet’ turbo-petrol. The company has priced the car at a starting price of Rs 7.46 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 12.97 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Interestingly, the Froxin 1.2L is available in only three main trims – the entry-level Sigma and is available in the mid-spec Delta and Delta Plus. Those wanting the fully-loaded trims will have to opt for the BoosterJet variant, which is available in the Delta Plus, Zeta and range-topping Alpha trims.

Maruti Frons Dimensions
Reminds me a lot of the Franks Baleno. It gets 20 mm more ground clearance than the Baleno. Its face is inspired by the Grand Vitara SUV, and it gets a completely different tail section. However, its features list along with the interior design is exactly the same as the Baleno.

The top-spec variant gets a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system (7.0-inch screen in the lower variant), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger. Apart from this, head-up display, 360-degree camera, cruise control, connected car technology, height-adjustable driver seat and rear AC vents are also included.

Its 1.2-litre engine produces 88.5 Bhp and 113 Nm of torque. While the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol produces 98.6 bhp and 147.6 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is available with both the engines, but the Boosterjet variant also gets a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
