Interior of MG’s cheapest electric car leaked, will run 300KM in full charge

auto news desk,British vehicle manufacturer MG Motors is about to launch its new electric car in India. It has been named MG Comet. MG Motors claims that the name of this electric car is inspired by a famous British airplane of 1934 that participated in the England-Australia McRobertson Air Race. The company has shared the first look of this electric car on social media. The interior of the car is shown in this teaser. The special thing is that the controls on its steering wheel remind of iPod.

It gets two-spoke steering wheel, mounted controls, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin gets horizontal air condition vents and premium metallic accents. Its length is 2.9 meters and three doors have been given in it. Looks like a boxy hatchback with two side gates and a tailgate at the rear. It offers four seats and a wheelbase of 2,010 mm while providing better space in the cabin.

This is going to be the cheapest car in the company’s current electric portfolio. It is specially designed for urban areas. It is based on the company’s Wuling Air EV sold in the international market. It is expected that the company can launch it in five colors – White, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Green.

At present, no information is available about its technical details and features. According to media reports, the company may equip the car with a 20-25kWh battery pack, which should provide a driving range of 200 to 300 kilometers on a single charge. The car could be powered by a single front axle motor that generates 68hp.
