Kia Sonet facelift spotted during testing, will get these big changes

car news desk, Kia launched its Sonet SUV in India in August 2020. This company is going to bring the facelift version of this car in the market. Which has recently been spotted during testing. The car is locally manufactured in India, sold in Indonesia, Mexico and Middle East Asian countries including India.

How is the new version?
The pictures spotted show the Sonet SUV completely covered, which gives a glimpse of some design tweaks. It has been spied testing in South Korea, but since the Sonet is produced in India, it could be a prototype model flown in from India.

How is the design?
The front of the new Sonet will get a sharper headlamp design and a redesigned grille in piano black. Its bumper design will also be completely new, in which the large fog lamp housing and the headlamps are given in the same line. It may also include turn indicators or LED DRLs. In the side profile, the new Sonet looks almost identical to the current model. However, some cosmetic changes could be made to its doors and cladding. Along with this, new design alloy wheels will also be available. The test car is seen shod with Indian-made Apollo tyres. The rear profile features a flat tailgate design. The tail-lamps are L-type units similar to those on the Seltos facelift. Also, dynamic turn indicators can be seen in it, which are also seen in Seltos.

Powertrain of the Kia Sonet facelift
The engine of the Kia Sonet has recently been upgraded to meet the RDE norms. It gets a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine, which generates power of 83hp. Also, it gets a choice of 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine, which generate 120hp and 115hp power respectively. No changes are expected in the powertrain of the new Sonet facelift.

when will launch
Kia is set to update two of its flagship models in India, the first of which is expected to be the Seltos facelift. After this, the Sonet facelift can be launched by the end of this year or early next year.

Competes with Hyundai Venue
The car competes with the Hyundai Venue, which gets 1.0L petrol and 1.5L petrol engines. The price of this car starts from Rs. 7.68 lakhs.
