The Jimny will be launched with a 1.5L K15B petrol engine. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox. You can choose either of the two. This petrol unit can generate a total power of 103 bhp and 134 Nm of torque. While the Mahindra Thar comes with two diesel engine and one petrol engine option. Talking about the petrol engine itself, it gets a 2.0-litre turbo unit. It can generate a total power of 150 bhp and torque of 320 Nm. It gets 6-speed manual and automatic transmission with it.
Jimny and Thar Price
Even though the Jimny is yet to be launched in India, the prices have been leaked. The SUV is expected to come at a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakhs. While Mahindra Thar also sells at an initial price of 9.99 lakhs. All these prices are as per ex-showroom.
Maruti Franks has been launched
Maruti Franks has been launched in India for Rs 7.46 Lakh. The price of its top variant goes up to Rs 13.13 lakh. In the Indian market, it will compete with micro SUVs like Tata Punch. According to the company’s claim, this car will give a mileage of around 22 kilometers per liter.
