Maruti’s SUV sold heavily in March, the big players of the segment were left behind

The company is also giving tough competition to segment leaders like Mahindra and Tata with its SUV cars. This is confirmed by the sales report of cars last month. Two of the top 10 best-selling SUV cars in March 2023 were from Maruti Suzuki. This includes the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The sales of Maruti Grand Vitara have even left behind the most popular Mahindra Scorpio and Kia Seltos in the market.

Faster Sales
In March 2023, Maruti Suzuki has sold 10,045 units of its Grand Vitara SUV. With this number, this car has got the 10th position in the best selling SUV. At the same time, Mahindra Scorpio sales have increased by 45 percent to 8,788 units in March 2023 as compared to the same month last year. Whereas, 6,554 units of Kia Seltos have been sold.

How is Maruti Grand Vitara
The Maruti Grand Vitara SUV gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which produces 103bhp power and 136Nm torque. Recently its CNG version has also been launched, in which this engine generates power of 87bhp and torque of 121.5Nm. It gets the option of only 5-speed manual transmission with CNG. The CNG variant of this car was earlier priced at Rs 10.45 lakh but now its price has increased by Rs 30,000. Now the starting price of its base variant Sigma starts from Rs. 10.70 lakhs.

how much mileage
According to the company’s claim, this SUV gives a mileage of 19 to 21 kmpl in mild hybrid variant and 27.97 kmpl in strong hybrid variant. While its CNG variant gets a mileage of 26.6km/kg.
