The next Renault Duster will be based on the CMF-B platform. Its design will be inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept. The new Renault Duster will be brought in collaboration with Nissan. It is expected to be bigger than the old Duster and could also have three rows of seats.
The new Renault Duster will compete with them
The three most popular SUVs in the segment today are the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (Toyota Hyrider). The new Renault Duster will take on all three. Exclusive design, technology and engines are available in all three cars.
With the exception of the Hyundai Creta, the rest of the SUVs are only offered with petrol engines. The Creta will soon get the new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that powers the Alcazar and the new Verna. The same engine is also found in the Kia Seltos. While the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. In addition, the Grand Vitara is also offered with a hybrid engine.
Renault Duster Engine
As of now, there are no details about the engine and transmission options that the new Duster will be equipped with. However, we can expect Renault to offer petrol and possibly a hybrid powertrain as well. While the new Renault Duster will make its debut in Europe in 2024, it will be followed by an India launch in 2025.
