While this figure is 3 percent more than the 42,865 vehicles sold in February 2023. The total market share of the company stood at 13.1%.
Tata Motors stood third
In March 2023, Tata Motors was the third largest car selling company behind Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. It registered an increase both at the monthly and annual levels. On the other hand, Maruti’s sales have registered a decline of 2.1 percent on annual and monthly level. Tata Motors projects the highest ever sales of the Nexon SUV at 14,769 units in March 2023, up 3 percent from 14,315 units in March 2022. Along with this, this car also crossed the figure of 5 lakh units in the country.
Tata Punch stood second
The Tata Punch was the company’s second best-selling car in March 2023 with 10,526 units sold, though it is down 2 percent from the 11,169 units sold in February 2023. This car is at the 9th position in the top 10 best selling cars of the country. While Tata Tiago sold 7,366 units on 23 March. Tata Tigor sales are expected to decline by 32 percent to 2,705 units in March 2023, as against 4,007 units sold in March 2022. This was 12 per cent lower than the 3,064 units sold in February. 2023.
Harrier sales up
Tata Harrier sales to grow by 3 per cent to 2,561 units in March 2023 as compared to 2,491 units in March 2022 and 2,054 units in February 2023. The company is going to launch many new cars this year and some of them have already been launched. The upcoming cars include Altroz CNG, Punch CNG, Nexon Facelift, Harrier Facelift and Safari Facelift.
