auto news desk,Maruti Suzuki introduced its lifestyle SUV 5-door Jimny at the 2023 Auto Expo this year. For which it can be booked online or through Nexa dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. However, its launch date has not been disclosed. But it can be launched by the end of May.

The 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be available in two trims namely Zeta and Alpha. Both the variants will get the 1.5-litre K15B 4-cylinder petrol engine with idle start/stop function. Which can generate power of 103PS at 6,000rpm and torque of 134Nm at 4,000rpm.

The new Jimny 5-door has an approach angle of 36°, departure angle of 50° and break-over angle of 24°. The SUV is based on a rugged ladder-on-frame chassis and gets 210mm of ground clearance. The new Jimny is available in 5 single-tone and 2 dual-tone colours, which include Kinetic Yellow with Bluish Black Roof, Sizzling Red with Bluish Black Roof, Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Sizzling Red, Granite Gray and Pearl Arctic White .
How much will it cost?
Maruti will sell the new Jimny 5-door through its Nexa dealership network. More than 25,000 pre-bookings have been done for this vehicle. Its price is expected to be between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.
Will compete with Mahindra Thar
This SUV will compete with Mahindra Thar, which is available with 4×4 and rear wheel drive system with diesel and petrol engines.
