Releasing the wholesale sales figures for March 2023, the company said on Saturday that it had sold 55,287 vehicles in the same period a year ago. While last month Hyundai sold 50,600 vehicles in the domestic market, up 13 per cent from 44,600 vehicles in March 2022. It exported 10,900 units in March as against 10,678 units in the same time last year. On the other hand, if we talk about Tata Motors, its wholesale sales in the domestic market increased by 3 percent to 89,351 units in March. While in March 2022 it sold 86,718 units. Tata Motors continues to be the third largest player in the PV segment after Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.

Along with this, Hyundai said that its total sales in the last financial year stood at 7,20,565 units, which is 18 percent higher than 6,10,760 units in 2021-22. According to the company, this is its highest sales figure in a financial year since starting operations in India. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Hyundai Motor India, said in the statement, “FY 2022-23 Hyundai Motor India Has been phenomenal for.” He hoped that the momentum of the Indian automobile industry would continue despite the global challenges.
