Maruti has given a feature called Smart Hybrid in its Brezza. The car is powered by a lithium-ion battery that stores energy saved during braking and uses that energy whenever the engine needs more power. When the car is running at normal speed, the engine itself sends power to the wheels. However, when the car needs more power, the engine and battery work together to power the wheels. In addition, the battery starts charging when the brake is applied or when the foot is taken off the accelerator pedal.

The new Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 103PS and 137Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and an optional six-speed automatic transmission. In manual gearbox, the vehicle returns a mileage of 20.15 kmpl. The new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is available in four variants including LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi (O). Maruti Brezza price starts at Rs. 8.27 lakh and goes up to Rs. 14.13 lakhs. Maruti Brezza gets features like electric sunroof, paddle shifters, head-up display (HUD), Suzuki Connect telematics, a new nine-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, 6 airbags.
