
car news desk, Honda Amaze was launched in India in April 2013 and since then it has remained one of the popular compact sedans in the Indian market. Now Honda Cars is celebrating the 10th anniversary of this sedan. In the last 10 years, 5.3 lakh units of Honda cars have been sold, which is about 53 percent of the company’s sales in India. Over the years, the Honda Amaze has received several updates and upgrades that include new features and technology.
Currently, the Honda Amaze is priced between Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Amaze is available in three variants – E, S and VX. It is a 5-seater sedan. The Amaze is now available with only one engine option – the 1.2-litre petrol engine. It outputs 90 PS and 110 Nm. Till a few months ago it was also offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine, but that has now been discontinued.
A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard with the Amaze while a CVT is optional. Paddle shifters are also available as an option. It gives a mileage of up to 18.6KM. It gets features like auto 7-inch touchscreen system, cruise control, paddle shifters (CVT only), dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps and 15-inch dual tone alloy wheels . ,
Honda is bringing new SUV
Honda is soon going to launch a mid-size SUV which will compete with the Hyundai Creta. It can be introduced in June. The mid-size SUV will be built on the City platform. It will share design elements with Honda’s global SUV. It is also expected to get a powerful hybrid powertrain.
