Volkswagen teases ID.4 Electric to be launched in India, target will be Kia

auto news desk, German automobile giant Volkswagen is preparing to launch its electric crossover car ID.4 in India soon. The company has recently presented a glimpse of it in an event. Although the company is already selling this car in the global market. This EV is one of the best selling EV of the company. If the company launches this car, it will compete with the Kia EV6 crossover.

Volkswagen ID.4 Power & Speed
The electric motor given in this car generates maximum power of up to 299 hp and maximum torque of 460 Nm. This car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kilometers per liter in just 6 seconds. While its top-speed has been electronically limited to 180 kmpl.

Volkswagen ID.4 Battery-Pack and Range
The company has built this car on the MEB platform. On which it has been used in all electric vehicles of the company’s ID series. This car comes with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. The company offers an 82 kWh lithium-ion battery pack in this electric crossover, which is capable of covering a distance of about 500 kilometers on a single charge.

Interior & Features
Talking about the cabin features of the Volkswagen ID.4, it is quite premium. In which GTX elements are visible. The dashboard also gets a large 12-inch digital touchscreen infotainment screen and a digital driver’s display.

look and design
Talking about the design of this EV, it gets a mix of GTX variant and crossover and tries to give it a sportier look than the standard version, with GTX badging all around, black roof, black spoiler and black air intakes. Intex is also present. Its LED headlights have been given a special design. The LED taillight at the rear has been given an X-shape.

Competition
When launched in India, the Volkswagen ID.4 will rival the recently launched Hyundai Kia EV6 crossover apart from luxury vehicles like Volvo XC40 Recharge, Audi e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace.
