auto news desk, Maruti Suzuki’s 5 door Jimny is one of the most important cars to be launched in the Indian market soon. Speculations were being made about the prices of this car for a long time. It is expected that its initial price can be less than Rs 10 lakh. The Jimny 5-door will be launched soon and the prices of the SUV will be revealed by the end of this month. But a dealer invoice document has revealed that the Jimny 5-door automatic Alpha variant costs Rs. 13.99 lakhs. However, it is not yet clear whether these prices are introductory or not. But its official prices are going to be revealed in June.
5-Door Jimny Automatic Alpha
The automatic variant Jimny will come with a 4-speed automatic transmission, with a 4X4 drivetrain as standard. The Jimny 5-Door will be sold in two trims namely Alpha and Delta. Automatic and manual transmission options are available in both. Its manual version gets a 5-speed manual gearbox like other Maruti cars. This drivetrain is mated to a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 103 Bhp power. Along with its off-road capability, the Jimny is equipped with a ladder frame chassis, great body angles, 3-link hard axle suspension and ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) with low range transfer gear (4L mode).
5-Door Jimny Features
The SUV gets 22.86 cm (9”) Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with HD display for infotainment and systems like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In terms of safety, you get features like 6-airbags, limited slip differential brakes, ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear-view camera and ABS with EBD. The SUV is available in 5 monotone shades and 2 dual-tone color options. The Jimny 5-door will be sold through Nexa showrooms in India and after the Gypsy, Maruti will be back in the market with this off-roader.
