Maruti Suzuki is preparing to bring new hybrid cars, launching may happen soon

auto news desk,Maruti Suzuki is preparing to bring several hybrid car models to the country in the next few months. The company launched its first powerful hybrid car Grand Vitara in the country in September 2022. Whose ex-showroom price is between Rs 10.70 lakh to Rs 19.95 lakh. The car gets 1.5L K15C Petrol Mild Hybrid and 1.5L Atkinson Cycle Petrol Strong Hybrid engines, which generate power of 103bhp and 115bhp respectively. The mild hybrid setup mated to an E-CVT gearbox returns a mileage of 27.97 kmpl.

What did the company say?
Rahul Bharti, Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India has told the media that, “The strong hybrid version of Maruti Grand Vitara has received a very positive response from the customers. The company is preparing to bring other strong hybrid cars in the future. Maruti Suzuki is planning to invest Rs 8,000 crore in this financial year for construction of its manufacturing plant located in Sonepat, upgradation of existing infrastructure and development of new models.

These powerful hybrid cars will be launched
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to bring a rebadged version of Toyota’s Innova Highcross MPV in July 2023. The name of this car could be Maruti Engage. This will be the second powerful hybrid model of the company. It will get to see the same powertrain as the Innova Highcross. In which the 2.0-liter petrol engine will be equipped with non-hybrid and hybrid technology. This engine outputs 174PS/205Nm and 186PS/206Nm respectively.

Hybrid system will also be available in these cars
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to bring a new generation model of its very popular cars Swift hatchback and Dzire compact sedan. Both cars will get a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which will be equipped with Toyota’s powerful hybrid technology. According to reports, the new generation Maruti Swift will get a mileage of 35 km per liter and the Dzire will get around 40 km per liter. That is, these will be the most fuel efficient cars in the country.
